Colors of Manila

Creed, commerce, and cultures meet in the small roads and footpaths of Quiapo as the Colors of Manila program take you to one of the Manila’s most historic and recognizable districts! A literal hub for trade and cultural exchange, Quiapo houses in a single district almost all the beliefs of the Filipino people which makes it the best place to visit if you really want to get to know our people.

From folk medicine, pagan amulets, and fortune tellers, Quiapo has it all! It even has a Catholic Basilica filled with santos, living peacefully within a Muslim mosque rhythmically calling for the Adhan within earshot. Quiapo has everything you could ever need if you want to see a real slice of life of Filipino daily life and now it’s on an easily accessible tour!

Join us as we walk through alleyways and side street markets through the trading and bargaining mecca for the citizens of Manila. Of course, true to Manila For A Day fashion, this adventurous journey will also go through enlightening discussions on what it’s like being a Muslim in a predominantly Catholic country as well as talk about the role of the Filipino-Muslim community in helping to build the Filipino nation.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite for adventure, then you’ll be pleased to know that we will also bring you to some of the best hole-in-the-wall places that serve Filipino halal food. Delight your taste buds in a unique sampling of flavors from the provinces of Mindanao as you go from food stop to food stop in search of that truly distinct southern essence.

To cap it all off, you even get a sampling of the ubiquitously Filipino fast food, Jolibee. Book a tour today and experience what Manila really is.

Can we book this tour if we have more than 10 people in our group?

Yes! However, we will need to deploy another guide for your group. This means that the 11th participant will be charged as a separate reservation. The 11th participant will have to pay for a minimum of five (5) participants.

For example, booking this tour with 12 people will have a total fee of PHP 20,640 instead of PHP 16,512. The 2 extra participants after the 10th will be treated as a separate group reservation. The good news is that this also means that you will have a smaller guide-to-participant ratio with just 6 participants for each of your expert Manila For A Day guides.

This policy ensures that receive only the highest quality tour experience possible because the streets and alleyways of Quiapo can be challenging to maneuver for large tour groups.
